"I am the way, the truth, and the life." – Jesus Christ

Who is Jesus?

Flip, what a question!!! Jesus is the Son of God, the centre of history and the Saviour of the world. He has so many different names in the bible,  all of them describe aspects of who He is, but none of them is enough to adequately describe Him.

Jesus was there at the beginning of everything. When God created the world He did it through Jesus. Jesus came down to earth, sent by God the Father, to sort out everything that is wrong with us and that separates us from God.  He died a horrific, torturous death, was separated from God the Father and God the Holy Spirit, because He took the punishment for all that we have done, thought, and felt that is wrong. He did all this willingly. After three days, Jesus rose from the dead, showing us that death has been defeated, our sins have been dealt with, and that now we can know God intimately! Jesus paid a debt that we owe to God, and He paid it for everyone who has ever lived. That means He paid it for you!

You can know God, if you accept the payment that Jesus made for you on the cross.

Who do you say He is?

It really matters what you think about Jesus. He asked His disciples "who do you say I am?" His disciple Peter said "you are the Christ". Peter was saying I believe that you are the Saviour of the world who we've been waiting for! The Old Testament promised that Jesus would come and He has.

If you say that Jesus is just a historical figure, just a good teacher, or even a nice man, you are still separated from God. But if you answer Jesus' own question, "who do you say I am?", with "you are my Saviour", all of your wrong will be removed from you, God will be your Father and friend, and you can look forward to an eternity of living with Him.
