“these I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.”
Isaiah 56:7
Every Wednesday
6:45 PM
Food is served! This is open to everyone – you do not need to be a member to come, we’d love you to join us. We enjoy a meal together while chatting with each other about how the day has been and looking forward to the wonderful time of prayer ahead.
7:30 pM
We officially start our prayer meeting and we close the meeting at 8.30pm.
We sing, pray and listen to God’s word. We pray out loud, one person at a time, so that we can hear each other and be encouraged.
“For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit”
Ephesians 2:18
Hear From Our Members...
I love coming to prayer meeting because not only does it give a great opportunity to catch up with other members of the church in the week, it also helps me teach my kids that being honest with Jesus is ok! They get to see that sharing our struggles and our joys with Him and with one another is a massive help to me, and to us as a Church. And they see different people praying in different ways - I am not their only example and believe me that is a good thing! It's also great not to have to think about what we are going to eat that night.
I always feel better after prayer meeting. When our brothers and sisters pray for each other I find it very encouraging. It has helped me so much to become more open, pray and ask Jesus for help! Coming to prayer meeting has helped me to control my worries and nervousness during the week.
As prayer meeting is held in the middle of the week, it is a perfect opportunity for me to be strengthened until we meet again as a church on a Sunday; something which I desperately need after a busy start to a week. Coming to prayer meeting reminds me of Jesus’ gospel, enables me to have meaningful fellowship and communion with my brothers and sisters and encourages me to pray and be honest before them and my heavenly Father. All this has helped me grow as a Christian and I am confident that God will continue to use it to do so!
